Now 4WD no purchase. Gutted was hoping for this.
Looks like it's a golf r for me then .

Also interesting point about the digital dash. The s3 I drove had the digital dash and can't say I noticed the resolution.
Just remember your face isn't as close to it as a phone.

its not just about power surely braking, aero and suspension tweaks which are not going to be cheap to do and release en masse? not sure what it will do around the ring though.

can always chip it for more grunt. looks good in the matt grey I have to say

usual german approach...remove bits, shed some weight, quicker round the ring so add £10k to the asking price.

Wouldn't have a digital dial unless it's resolution was 4k, they look tacky as hell.

I sat in an Audi A4 with digital dash at London Motor show 2015, couldn`t read it clearly. Thought my eyes were bad until I got back in my 2012 Mk2 Octavia vrs which was perfectly clear. Is it a resolution issue?

Have got a Cupra 300 dsg on order provision build week 7 2018, hope week 45 revisions leave digital dash as option or I may have a problem.

Anyone from the Rep of Ireland. Looks like it won't be available here.

Thank you for contacting Seat Customer Care.

Unfortunately, at present we have no plans to sell the Seat Cupra R on our Irish Market place. This may be something we will be offering in the future.

We would recommend keeping an eye on our website for any updates on vehicles that will become available on our market place.

Should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind Regards

My mate has a new Golf R with the digital dash and resolution isn't an issue. It looks great!

Seen a few Digital dials and in higher specced cars for that matter.

For the price of what they are they should be at least speccing out to the resolution of a 9.1 inch Samsung galaxy tab S2 at the very least. RRP £200 viewing distance 12-24inch. Your basically paying over the odds to pay for R&D and be a beta tester for teething problems for 1st and 2nd gen digital dashboard technology.

For me the resolution is a big problem, the lack of HDR, the lack of LED or OLED for that matter. The lack of customisation or decluttering the digital display. And lack of changing colour of needles or background colours to make it stand out more.

It's worth noting I moaned at the res of the 5 inch display and centre LCD in between my dails on my current Cupra

When we're threatened by record-breaking storms to the West, rogue ICBM's to theEast and rising cheese prices to the South it's nice to be able to fret over the place of copper highlights in the cutting edge of automotive innovation. :snack:

This is what they should've done, maybe they did get some inspiration from it at least!

So things picked out of above video.

No digital dash - just white dial backgrounds - really disappointing
All R's numbered infront of gear leaver
Beats audio added - this is now on the whole range anyway as an option
Interior detailing is copper coloured with gloss black - less is more Seat, there's too much here.
Seats are usual Cupra buckets with copper stitching instead of white
Door cards are carbon fibre simi rather than Alcantara on the 300

Disappointed for sure!
