This is a plea to the powers that be in these parts :) :worship:

I know i speak for many of us,especially the Southern lot in that we feel SCN aren't very well presented at the shows, despite the fact we have massive representation from the members and are the biggest forum.

At the shows i've attended during the last couple of years, we have fallen down massively in showing which club we actually belong to and at best have had a banner attached to a fence if lucky enough to be positioned near one or laid on the floor or attached to 2 buckets or similar, which is a very poor effort. At E38 last year we had to direct members to our pitch using another clubs flagpole as a landmark!

Again, at Springfest it was only that i spotted Brum's bald head that i had any idea where SCN were located, therefore i wonder if the big bosses on here would consider having something made for us. There has been talk that some of us are willing to chip in and i'm sure that still stands however without permission/discussion etc we daren't.

Banners are good for front of stand imo but i think perhaps some investment in flagpoles and flags as well would be a good idea. These act as landmarks to find stands and we should be showing we are serious about our club. Nearly all the forums have flagpoles at the very least, IOC has a gazebo etc etc. At Stonor Park on Sunday,10mtr flagpoles were just £26 and surely to have a few of these and a few flags printed up wouldn't be a massive dent in the forums funds?? maybe some sort of multi order discount could be had?

I understand that the admins/mods are of limited time and i know that a few of us would be happy to help resource these things if given the go ahead.

So c'mon, lets get SCN back on the map,we are one of the few Seat only clubs that has a massive presence, lets make that felt....pleeease :D

Good Idea :D
This is definitely the best forum I have signed up on, and I'm sure many more agree. GTI international is going to be my first proper car show and first with this club, and hope to represent this club in the future!

If the forum does not have enough funds I'm sure people would be willing to donate?

I think this topic is bigger than general chat, perhaps a mod will move it ;)

We are the biggest and the best SEAT forum, but can go unnoticed at the big events due to a lack of self publicity.

Ground level banners are no use unless you are in front of them. We really need to raise our game this year and make it the best show season ever :)

Get a place to make some, give me some prices, and if I think its viable I can reimburse the person who sorts them out..but I will need receipts!!

Custom printed stuff isn't as cheap as folks think they are though, if you want something hard wearing that lasts.

Good gazebos certainly are not cheap or portable.

We do have funds available and fairly plentiful, but you can't just throw money away it needs to be a good product.

I have very little free time available at the moment to organise this myself, hence why I've not been able to sign myself up for shows, they have fallen on either work or family commitments.

I can probably find some time to help with artwork etc, but my time is pretty short this year with one thing or another.

Certainly flags and gazebos I can't source without spending time looking around for the right solution. Banners I can source fairly quickly and easily though if need be..

definitely agree with the feather variety, maybe speak to the TDI Sport guys and see where they get theirs done as can guarantee in London costs are probably higher! :)

My flags and poles and bases cost me £190 each. I used http://www.bannersforall.co.uk/Sail.htm . I got the superstrong poles and a heavy duty base as we know what the winds like!!

I've found them easy to deal with and quick to send it all out and the product is good quality.!

i would 100% contribute to this...although never been to a car show with SCN i hopefully plan to do a few this year...this forum has provided me a wealth of knowledge and also an opportunity to showcase my car with like-minded people...

can fully understand that the mods have other commitments than the up-keep of the forum...if we could come to some agreement on logo/style/pole etc..then the mods could give it the go-ahead and then re-imburse if funds permit.

We did have some sail flags, but they were loaned out and got broken. I have some large poles that have flags (one of which I think the Barmy Army still use), but they are far too hefty to transport and were never really suitable.

I have available artwork that I did some time ago that would likely be suitable for sail flags

I may have some other stuff hanging around too, bit busy though at the moment, so I'll have a dig around this afternoon.

If we were to get some made, I would like to see a few made, some could be sent to the Scottish group for their meets, if time allows hopefully in time for their national meet.

As well as sorting some for you down south too. But representatives will have to be accountable for looking after them, as we can't afford to replace this stuff all the time.

To give you an idea of funding level, I'm sure we have a budget available of at least a £1000 that we could afford to divert to this kind of promotional materials.

nice one Z, much appreciated :D sure there's a few semi responsible peeps that attend most of the shows who'd be willing to look after them. i would for the southern lot but obviously that's open to debate :)

Wohoo !! Brilliant :D I would volunteer but, I don't attend that many shows and I am in the furthest part of the south. I think having someone in the London area would be a good idea as they are a little more central.

If you compare the stand at ED38 to the stand at CPoP I think you will agree that the stand at CPoP definately looked more refined with the club banners. Its not the amount of cars that make a stand, its the Club promotional items without these small details it looks like a car park ;)
