With regards to the headlights - if you want to remove them, it's a bumper-off job (which isn't that hard, takes about 10-15 mins once you've worked out where all the screws are. Oh and they're all torx-headed screws too ;-) ).
If you have the factory Xenons like me, this is the only way to get your main beam bulbs out (and the dipped discharge bulbs - but they should never go in theory...)
Once the bumper's off, each headlight is secured by 4 torx-headed screws (2 top and 2 bottom).
A good idea might be to get the bumper off, remove the headlights, and replace all the side & indicator bulbs with LED versions that should never blow.
