Hi I've just bought an ibiza 1.9tdi sport with 16" wheels. Have misplaced the owners manual and am not sure about what pressure I should pump my tyres up to... Any suggestions?

Try looking under the diesel filler flap, it's usually on a label in there.

Depends on your driving! Lots of motorway cruising (like me) then looking at 36psi all round (or more if loaded with stuff). Lots of twisty country roads (more grip needed) then mid to top 20s psi!

SEAT recommended pressures for 16" rims with 205/45 r16 tyres are -

33 PSI front
30 PSI rear

That for 'normal' use - I can't remember what the fully loaded pressures are.

Tyres usually show the max pressures which are mostly higher than the pressure suitable for the car, as this depends on the paticular car the tyre is fitted to

Exactly, that was a bit of dangerous advice being given there - we should not be guessing when offering advice!

i use 33 on the front and 31 on the back as i'm usually the only person (commuting wise) but brings out the worst tyre noise
