Hey guys, I need to know how to remove my steering wheel, and possibly if I should even be attempting this job on my own.
The tracking on my car is fine, if I let go of the wheel when the car is moving it does not tug or pull in either direction, steering is razor sharp etc, but my problem is the steering wheel is crooked! To keep the car moving straight ahead, where normally you would hold the wheel at 12 o clock, my "staight ahead" is about 11 o clock. Like I say, the tracking is spot on, and if the steering wheel was correctly aligned all would be perfect.
Can I remove the steering wheel myself and attach it correctly or does this need specialist tools and knowledge to line it up properly? How do I do it, and how do I avoid setting the airbag off? The car drives perfectly and this is just a minor niggle to me, but it's something I might sort out when I've got a little bit of free time. I can't think how this has happened, I think the previous owner might have made a lazy job of reattaching the wheel, for whatever reason he removed it for!
Cheers lads
