Yup...I have the same model myself and would really like to know if Cupra exhaust fits to my car. They definately haven't designed TSI exhaust for sporty sound! :(

Here in Greece many people have done it but they fitted also an intake and ofcourse Revo! It's a quite inexpensive way of upgrading the exhaust(at least until some companies release some exhausts specifically designed for the 1.8tsi engine)

Just a thought but if the cupra exhaust fits onto the 1.8TSI, wouldn't the millteksport exhaust for the cupra also fit?!?!

The underside of your car will look no dfferent to mine from the engine back (Just like the underside on the Golf and Audi A3 are also lay out exactly the same - except S3/R32 variants). Everything from the cat-back should fit ok, but you'll need a spacer that takes the pipe off the cat from 2.5/2.75" to 3" on the Miltek. If you want a full exhaust, them im not sure, the downpipe from the Turbo may well be different... That's also very expensive...

Yes,it fits but it's very big in diameter and i don't recommend it.You can only lose by doing something like this. The upgrades i would recommend for the 1.8tsi are (with this order): 1. brakes upgrade the OEM brakes are insufficient imo (288x25 front-255x10 rear). I've just bought a used pair of FR front brakes (312x25 including calipers, disks and pads) and will fit them soon. It's a very good upgrade, especially if you combine it with 17" or 18" wheels.
2. Tuning software I would recommend REVO which is the strongest until now.
3.Exhaust THe standard Cupra exhaust is really good.
4.I/C Audi's intercooler for the new S3 is a very good cost-effective solution.

Ok, thanks for the information! That's exactly what I was after! If I order cupra exhaust from my dealer, do need some other parts to make it fit or is it straight swap? Do you recommend some intake for the TSI? I've been looking around for some closed intake system like BMC CDA or DIA...what do you think of these and what would you consider the best option for this engine? I had Revo in my previous car (Ibiza FR 1.8t) and liked it very much, so I'm going to give Leon the same treatment in coming months! Btw how much is the S3 intercooler and what would I need to fit it?

For the intercooler you'll need also the 2 hoses(left&right) used on the S3. The total cost in Greece is about 500 Euros.
The Cupra exhaust it's straight swap.
I don't have any experience about intakes for the 1.8tsi, although i would only place a panel filter and nothing more.

Thanks for the advice! Btw do you have the partnumber for the Cupra exhaust? I'm asking this because my dealer wasn't sure which one we should order for my car...there seems to be many different part numbers for the exhaust.

hi,i have 1.8 tsi with custom exhaust 76/63 mm and reflash at RBN Tuning...and i will show you also a movie with my car and the sound of custom exhaust . I think Revo has serious competition from these guys.

I saw the vid and your car seems very good. Revo has also serious competition not only from RBN Tuning, but also some local tuners here in Greece, for example: http://www.gt-innovation.gr/cars.html (select Model seat leon 1.8 tfsi then ecu med 17.5 and you'll see the results!)

I would really like to see a GT Innovation 1.8 TSi in action:) Many give very good specs but for real I wasn't impressed by anyone until these guys showed up. Also very real specs and very good price for what you get (http://www.rbn-tuning.ro/preturi/seat.html). Custom exhaust also by them.

Just finished talking to these guys, they said the Cupra Exhaust is a direct match but it won't be a storming improvement as it has the same stock catalytic converter, 63/60mm and it chockes in the muffler with 55mm pipe. The 1.8 TSI is 60mm DP, 57mm catback and 55mm to the muffler so... Still a custom 76/63mm is the deal if you want to continue with reflash and cold air intake.

Just wanted to share this info:
I also drive a standard 1.8TSI (BZB) and will have it remapped next month by JD engineering (NL).
I was looking for EG approved exhausts and this was what I found:
-Friedrich Motorsport (Master of sound) ref 982714T-x Group A cat-back system
-Bastuck ref SEAL-76S Group A cat-back system

Miltek 2.0TSI fits the 1.8TSI, but no EG approval
Remus65 2.0TSI fits 1.8TSI, but no EG approval

Why use the Milltek 2.0TSI exhaust when there is an 1.8tsi exhaust already?
Look at Milltek's site on Audi A3 1.8tfsi and you 'll see it!
