It seems in that thread there that lots of people ask how long these belts last without an answer.

So I'm going to ask the same how long do they last roughly?

Wouldn't want to buy one for me not to know when it's likely to go...

Hay Issam,

I take it that these are supposed to be stronger, therefore last longer and less likely to stretch??

Quote from Vortex:

"Typically speaking Kevlar constructed belts are 3 to 4 times more stronger than regular timing belts. On top of that they do not stretch and the teeth do not sheer off the belt like we have seen in the past with respect to timing belt failures that have plagued this forum.
Of course I am not going to market this belt as an OE replacement belt. This is more for the performance oriented guy who is looking for a belt that will eliminate one more problematic area of failure.

Sorry about that. One of the main reasons I ignore questions like this on vortex is the crowd can get carried away...they like being spoon fed that lot.
These belts will last 200,000+ km's but that's not the direction I want to market them in.

SCN members pay $20 USD less as the shipping rate is a bit more but I am not bothered...I love you guys too much

Cheers for the reply.

Just to double check, do these fit the Ibiza as well as the Leon? I had a quick check on vagcat and it says my part number is: 06B109119A

Well Danny is going to get 3 belts and then from there he will distribute them.ID imagine it will be cheaper to ship from the UK to Norway right?
His package should be leaving tomorrow if not Monday.
Rob and Ric still on board?

Yes, I´ll imagine it will be the cheapest way. I´ll pm danny right away. Ric is alredy waiting to ship the connectors to me from you so adding a cambelt wont make any bother I guess. I will of course cover all the expences.

Would you need paymnet from me right away Issam?

Don't know if I still want one, all depends if they're here before I fit a new timing belt during my rebuild, which will be in a week or two. I already have a new OE belt kit.
