As much fun as the Ibiza can be, I got a little tired of the poor ride. Loved the engine, but I felt like I needed to be more grown up.

Anyway, I was looking for cars for my best mate, and stumbled on the Skoda VAT free offer... Popped down to see my local dealer & the deal was too good to be missed.

Ended up picking one up from port, as per the Ibiza, with zero options (except a full size spare)

Anyway, pics

I looked at one the last time they were VAT free. It's a hell of a deal and compaired to the Golf GTI you get alot of kit with them as standard. I do like the colour.

Very nice mate and agree that there is no way that this car should have a rear wiper. Looks alot cleaner now.

think i'll be getting one of these next as you get alot of car for your cash!!!
might have to get the estate as space is getting important with a 2nd child due in feb.

was looking at Exeo ST's but they seem to be holding their prices, even for high mileage examples!

what are your early thoughts on the car?

Looks great mark! Passed a similar car on my way home tonight but with black wheels looked ok too!

Shame my misses won't do skoda as I would love one of these in an estate. :)

I do like the octavia vrs, like it in white too. Think my first mod would have been to put black vinyl of some sort on the b pillars to cover the white paint and make it more streamlined.

I like these. Ever since the wife got one I've cursed her for finding it first. The boot is huge and it shifts. I'd have it remapped but otherwise there's not much it needs. Drives so mu better than the LCR

I looked very seriously at Exeo's, knowing I could easily flex my negotiating ability to get the best deal out there... But then I drove one again to refresh my memory since I last drove one at launch... Nice in a straight line, but show it a corner & it just washed out & drifted outwards.

So Skoda was looked at, the spec as standard was awesome, even specced up was still good value. But there were none with what I would have considered at port.

Initial thoughts - after all of about 110 miles - it's a quiet refined car, which has some guts & rides really well for a 'sporty' hatch.

I am already marking up a couple of images to see what black / dark bits might look like.

I really like these, i think the blue has to be my favourite colour but that white suits it nicely.

I'd definitley go for the vinyled B pillars and maybe some gloss black wheels would suit it well? Hide the brake dust too!

Only other thing i thought of in my head when i saw it was that it might look good with a black rear spoiler?
