Removing spray paint from intercooler

Hi guys
Could you advise on how best to remove spray paint, I.e. the 'forge' emblem from the intercooler, Plus some bumper overspray. I've researched it to be paint thinners and hose off. Could this mean white spirit or is it car paint thinners/ domestic paint thinners? Any help appreciated.
Thanks
