Cordy 6k modifications

First off, let me say hello to all of you as I am new to the forums.
I have a '97 Cordoba 1F which I have decided to violate in all possible ways. The car has a lot of personal value to me and this is the reason why I want to modify the hell out of it instead of simply buying one that is better.
Now...
Does the 1.8T engine from a Golf mk4/ Audi A3 fit without driving you completely insane or should I go for a G60?
Since the car comes with a 239mm disks in the front which overheat the second I look at the brake pedal, I would love to put on a 280mm set. Do I need hubs from a 2.0 16v / Golf mk2 G60 as well as the mounts and calipers?
Last but not least, can I fit a dashboard, door panels and seats from the facelift version or the 6l?

About door panels I´m not sure. But dashboard will fit well!

A 97 1F?

Thought 1997 was a 6K.

OK, I realise its effectively a 6K, 4 door.

The engine will fit but depending on which version you get it's going to be bitch to install.

The brake upgrade just requires the hubs, carriers and calipers. Nice and Easy.

Door panels will be similar but not a direct fit, the dash is going to be the same. Additionally the 6L runs a different loom and fuse box so the clocks won't be a direct fit either into your original loom. You'd be best off obtaining a Cordoba Cupra 6L from the continent somewhere and using the whole car as a donor vehicle but as the Cupra is quite rare, I'd be tempted to keep it and lose the 1F
