advise on air intake?

Hey guys,

I have a 1.8t 20v Polo GTI and want to run the best air intake option as possible...in your experiance and knowledge what is the best performance wise setup? not just noise, on a standard turbo and with the battery still in the standard place. Would you recommend the tip and open cone? tip, in box cone and 160 intake?
Any advise would be great

cheers
Chris

Hi Chris,
I usually recommend drop in panel filters but if you are looking for a true performance product then a custom shield around the MAF + a velocity stack is a winner in my books.

How much would a custom heat shield be roughly?
