Fitting an RNS 510 - help

Has anyone fitted an RNS510 to a pre facelift car?
I've got an 07 Altea, had previously removed the stock headunit and fitted an RNS315, but as I had a 7p6 module knocking around from a previous car, I thought I'd take it out and fit an RNS510DAB. On trying to fit the RNS510, I've noticed that there is an extra part on the head unit, on the bottom of the chassis near the front, which fouls part of the trim in the cavity and stops it from slotting in.

I'm thinking I'm going to have to cut it out, and have already scored it, but want to ask if anybody else has come across this issue.

Also, the facia trim doesn't really clip into the dash very well, has anybody else found that and am I using the correct part number?

I'd post some pics but flickr is being an a*se

The part at the bottom is the SD card reader (which the Seat Mediasystem doesn't have btw), so most people just trim the mounting to suit.
Don't be a dick all your life. Grow up and learn to live like the twat you are.
