Climate Control Unit upgrade

Just wondering want to upgrade the climate control unit on my 2007 SEAT Altea. Saw a video on YouTube (Golf 6 Climatronic 5K0 907 044 im Seat Leon 1p Vorfacelift) a bloke who had used the CC unit from a Golf 6 has anyone else done this previously?

I also used a facelift unit from a Leon and it works fine. Type 'Climate Control prelift to facelift unit' on search and that should help you. Let me know how you get on.

Hi i was wondering about facelifting options in my 2004 Altea until i found this thread and it really answered my questions about possibility to do so. But i have questions about climate control unit it self:
1) I see some of you used from facelift seat leon, but what about using from altea insteed?
2) I see there is difference in vents open/closing rotating knob does it work properly after upgrade?
3) Does vcds see the new climate control unit? Or does it need any coding?
Thanks for your replys in advance
P.S. sorry for my english.
P.S.S. i cant post picture to show what i have in mind
