I had my last car Revoed, 02 Audi A4 130pd. I could tell by the engine note that the Revo was on. It seemed to be a lot more subdued on tickover; noticably quieter.
When it was put back to stock it seemed to give the familiar PD clatter!

I agree that it is not night and day but is noticeable enough to want it on all the time
