got the abs pump problem, but need to put my Toledo 2005 in for MOT, its been suggested that if I take the bulb out then it will get though the MOT

Question is, how easy is it to remove the ESP bulb from the instrument cluster?

Thanks

Not easy at all ...it's not a bulb for a start

If it doesn't illuminate with the key in the first position (assuming they notice) it'll fail anyway.

So I was lucky and managed to get it through the mot last week with the esp light blanked out on the dash with gaffa tape . Good news and massive thanks to the altea forum here , My Toledo has been in today and had 100% funded by seat UK repair. No questions , no hassle with great service from seat UK. All I did was call the seat UK number report my problem, they told me to take to dealers with reference. I even got a loan car for the day whilst mine was fixed free of charge Saved me a lot of money thank you

problem was ESP light on all the time, would not turn off on switch or connecting a code reader.

When reading codes, had a G201 error which when googled is a common fault on many VAG cars and others.

My SEAT Toledo has no recent service history with Seat, has 109k miles and is a 2006.

Seat UK were happy to solve with no quibble or questions asked, the only proviso was that when the dealer looked at it, he found the g201 code.

The dealer has fitted a brand new abs pump, which also would have meant brake fluid change as well i assume
