Had my 05 Cupra nearly 2 months now - rear washer pipe gone twice now. Glad I came on here cause I didn't realise it was such a common fault and my dealer charged me £20 to fix it last time blaming me for letting the resevoir get empty!! Front lights also misted up and get a slight groan from the rear suspension when going over speedbumps (no matter how slowly and carefully!) - should I be worried by this? Only ask as the car is going in for its first (10k) service tomorrow!

P.S. Anyone know where I can get a copy of the service schedule from for my car? Previous owner had never been given one and Seat can only sell me a standard replacement for dealer stamps to go in! Just think it's a bit strange that they aren't gonna change plugs, air or pollen filter at a 10000 mile service - how long do these last?!?

Joined the rear washer club today.
Have the car 10 weeks (it's an '06 FR TDI 130) in that time, electric mirrors stopped working, dealer said water had got into the connector in door - Fixed under warranty.
Tomorrow i have the dubious pleasure of ringing them to tell them that the turbo seems to be whistling louder than my Bora TDI did, the handbrake cover is loose, the interior fan seems to blow faster when reversing??? and surprise surprise, headlights are misting up.
Having said that i love the car to bits.:funk:

Got/getting my headlights + rear lights fixed under warantee by SEAT (car being 15 months old) Took pictures, sent to garage, they forwarded to SEAT, and a week later they agreed to replace for me.

So if they say they wont do it, push for them to do it, and if the garage refuses, just go straight to SEAT UK

I can email you one if you let me know your address. As far as I know it is the same document for all models.

Anyone have trouble with intercooler hoses?

Lost the top one about 2 months ago following a loud pop at low speed. Inconvenient but only £20 to fix.

Today bottom connector popped off as I pulled up at a roundabout. This one is smaller but £70. Aaargh.

Both within 7 days of service (coincidence?)

Also, rear washed hose popped off at every connection so far, Air con low on gas, tracking well out already, clunking from rear suspension, cover blows off cabin pollen filter, key fob packed up again, water comes into passenger footwell if you go through puddles (water seems to come up and over the bonnet!)

Over than that I quite happy with it!!

All long-life items :-- 20,000 miles. BUT ANNUAL OIL + FILTER CHANGE NEENED AT 12 MONTHS/10,000 miles, using MOBIL 1 ESP 5W30 fully synthetic oil. ( hydraulic tappets and cam-drive tensioner relies on clean oil ).
