wire gal: like I said it didn't cost £35, but it's not one off, can do my car a good 2 years now, so pays itself off, can do my moms car, sisters car, friends cars etc, so it's worth it :)

glanza: I ran out lol

rf860: thanks mate, it has loads of marks lol, well small imperfections I need to sort out :)

get some pics up when done :D

Sorry, couldnt be bother to read all the replys lol.

Im a detailer, Clay bar, or calying is a NECESSITY. It removes contaminants that are bedded into the paintwork. Must be done for preparing for polishing.

So I've order the following products today (to go with my Maguiar's Gold Shampoo), but I didn't know if using a clay bar would be any different to using the the Auto Finesse - Rejuvenate - and Poorboys - White Diamond - products? If so, at what stage should I use the clay bar (pre or post these two products)?

Product: DAS-6 PRO Dual Action Polisher

Product: Optimum Microfiber Polishing Pad (various size)

Product: Auto Finesse - Rejuvenate

Product: Sonus SFX-4 Final Gloss Seal and Protect Pad

Product: Poorboys - White Diamond

Product: Collinite 476S - Super Doublecoat Auto Wax

Product: Snow Foam Lance - Various fittings

Product: Valet Pro - PH Neutral Snow Foam

Product: Poorboys Nattys Paste Wax

Product: Valet Pro - Bilberry Wheel Cleaner (5 Litre)

Product: Chemical Guys - New Look Trim Gel

Product: Chemical Guys - Fabric Clean

Product: Foam Wax Applicator

So I finally managed to get a day to clean the beast without it being too hot or raining. I ended up doing the following:
Rinse,
Snow foam,
Rinse,
Wash,
Clay,
Wash,
Auto finesse,
White Diamond,
Colinite.

I'm impressed with the shine, but think I may give her another going over ASAP to bring up an even deeper finish - well it did only take me 8 hours!l LOL!!! I love the yellow, but I'm not sure I will actually get anything more out of going over it all again because of the usual slight fading?! any ideas?!

Depends how bad the fading is

Can usually be bought up by mopping it, machine polisher and a stronger cutting compound but I'd recommend polishing it again. If the paints been left to fade for a while it could take upto 3/4 times of polishing to bring it back up to it's full colour, then wax it all to seal it.
