Hello all

Two weeks old now and still loving it. The 18" alloys are a dream to clean, just a few minutes now compared to about 5 or so each wheel with the Fiesta. No fiddly nooks and crannies. Loving the dash too. Fiesta was large. The Ibiza is neat and trim, easy to clean.

Oh, one question, how to keep the discs clean and not going that brown colour?

Gary

I think the 18" alloys look amazing and really want to go for them, but how do you find the ride on the 18s?

Does the car feel fairly compliant and stable on them?

Hasn't FR stood for Firm Ride since the beginning of time?

It's only when you drive an Ibiza or Leon on standard suspension that you realise just how firm it is.

Well, Good News for me :)

My dealer has just rang to say the car is in getting PDI, and I have arranged collection this Friday.

Car Ordered: 24 June 2017, Car Delivered to Dealer: 25 September 2017

3 months to the date near enough.

Just gotta sort out the insurance with Direct Line and we are go go go.

Will upload some pictures of the black beauty on Friday hopefully.

SEAT have a 5 day insurance scheme for cars purchased from SEAT dealers. Takes a 2 minute phone call.

Gives you time to sort your own insurance out at your leisure.

Yes, was aware of the free 5 day but didn’t want the extra hassle.

Insurance all sorted over IM with Direct Line. Extra £40 was all.

Both cars insured on Friday so can drive the old Mii down and pick up new Ibiza.

Just wish it would stop raining so I can crank the Pana sunroof open :)

I found the 2014 Leon FR on the stock 17" alloys to be slightly firm but in no way way uncomfortable. It just felt quite planted and stable on that size of tyre's/alloys.

Looking very good, couple of q’s if I may?:

Are the fog light led or at least white to match the headlights?
Are the interior lights led at all?

Thanks.

The front fog lights don’t appear to be LED. They have a bulb in them. (Just went out and checked)

Haven’t turned them on yet. Gimme a while and I’ll photo it.

Interior lights ARE LED.

Cheers Alan thanks and for the photo. Think if I place my order I’ll be tuning the cornering fogs off anyway so the yellow light wouldn’t bother me as much, though I did change bulbs on my Leon to whiter ones.

How do you turn it off?

I couldn’t find it in the settings.

I do have carista, maybe that?

Interior lights are LED because you've got sunroof?

Are the buttons on the lamp illuminated?

I do have sunroof yes so perhaps.

The buttons I don’t recall being illuminated. Just normal click in/out buttons.

I've been investigating the interior lamp for some time now.

If the car does not have alarm or sunroof, you get hideous lamp that was first introduced with Passat B5.
