Evening All,

It's been a while since I sold my 07 Leon FR for a company car which is no longer needed so now I'm back to the fold with my new toy.... She's called Shirley and she loves abit of 3rd gear!

Currently she's standard with 30k miles on the clock but with the following on the cards in the coming months.

- stage 1 revo remap
- anti lift kit
- revo air intake

Got the usual led interior kit going in today and looking to find some standard rattles to attempt to make quiet car haha.

Cheers

Simon

Well today I did some basic stuff

Installed 17/18 sd card maps for my RNS310, now have 7 digit postcode

LED interior light swap and side lights which led me to find one of my rattles...

It seems since I bought the car I'm missing one of the light fittings inside the main unit, with the plastic case off you can hear it moving around...

I assume the best way to get it is to take the whole light unit down. Anyone got any info on the best way to do this?

Sorted me some heko wind deflectors

Polished up the inside and found this on the back of the passenger seat... Anyone know a good way to get this black again that won't look silly?

The most important thing though was the temporary fitting of my samurai umbrella...

Then fitted LED DRLs they look great and no errors as of yet. (get a pic tonight)

Booked in for a Terraclean at the butt end of next week, intrigued to see if it has any change in engine response...

Got a big clean in for Tuesday on my day off then it's looking into a Stage 1 Revo map and a nice anti lift kit.

New Alloy centre caps and Autosol have arrived ready for some fun at the weekend.

Cheers

Very nice looking forward to seeing it in the flesh at the

2018 SEATCUPRA.NET National Meet (July 8th)

For those of you who have missed this check out https://forums.seatcupra.net/index....ly-8th-booking-details-and-discussion.443756/, sorry for butting in on your great car thread but it would be nice to see some more cars joined up.
Ta muchly, yep she'll be nice and shiny hopefully for the meet.

I put a thread in the generic MK2 Leon thread about it but it seems a big distance for some.

Cheers

Good shout on the r tech map matey!

Also id do some more digging into the anti lift kit as i read online somewhere the cupra has solid bushs fitted in the front lower arms anyway which is equivalent to an anti lift kit , if you can confirm it for yourself you can spend that money on more goodies!

Friday - TRC Splitter should arrive

Sunday - big interior clean
Monday - Lip on bottom of front bumper being wrapped gloss black to match the splitter
Thursday - big exterior clean
Friday - all 4 alloys being refurbed back to a shiny gloss black
Saturday - stare at the car and add poor boy wheel protector on, place order for PCV diverter and G rev valve along with maybe a cat back jetex exhaust k (non res)
Sunday - off to the national meet in Donington.
Monday - after being to the meet order lots of stuff that I probably cannot afford haha

A few small goodies arrived today

Also just tried to get at the air filter in the engine cover... Tried being the word... That thing is dug in like an alabama tic! Didn't even get a t-shirt... Just got dirty hands after the gloves broke lol

Wow you are going to be busy, Just remember plans have a habit of having to change due to stuff outside of your control.

Looking forward to seeing the car at Donnington and I expect to see the engine cover and air filter being very very clean.

If stuff doesn't happen then I'm going to have a childish paddy and I'm not going to the meet haha hopefully all should be good, check again with people today and all seems to be OK. Weather may change the exterior clean that's my only issue I think...

I hope she lives up to expectation lol I tell you what I think if I pulled any harder I would of taken the engine with it, it's insanely hard to get off... There must be a nack to it.

The engine bay will be clean... Air filter... Not so much haha

Have you tried taking it off when the engine is warm / hot, just in case that makes a difference.
