Hi Guys,
Quick Mod to my Ibiza, thought the front was lacking a bit of aggression without a splitter on (Getting one soon) so I thought I'd paint the front grille surround from silver to gloss black as a quick Sunday mod.
1. Started by sanding with 240 grit, just to scuff the silver up until dull.
2. washed with water and dried.
3. Three coats of normal grey primer
4. two coats of gloss black plastic paint, left to cure in a warm room for 24 hours.
5. Clear Coat! Wanted a really deep gloss to compliment the silver and make the car badge stand out so did 3 coats of clear coat.
6. going to wait for the temperature to rise (its bloody freezing atm) to polish and buff the clear coat.
