Hello,

I drive a mk5 seat ibiza 1.4 and I think I have blown one of my fuses because none of my interior lights are working... (interior, glove box and boot light) I was wondering if anyone has a diagram I could use please? Because i'm struggling to identify the relevant fuse.

Cheers.

Hey guys i am newbie to this, just joined today. But thought would be good if i posted an image of the fuse box ALSO WITH LABELLED TAGS TO SHOW YOU WHERE EACH FUSE IS STATED BY OWNERS MANUAL. As we all know where to find it be seat dont seem to put an illustration on the cover to tell you which slot is which??? see image 1

Now i have a problem with my fuse box. I bought my car brand new back in 2009 so i am only owner. But my boot is not working. you press the button on key fob and nothing, try opening it via seat logo switch and nothing. I looked in my fuse box and based on the owners manual, i appear to have two fuses the wrong spec. (See pic 2) . Slot 45 is supposedly for rear window heater and should be a yellow 20 ampbut there appears to be a green 30 amp?

slot 48 is for Locking Unit and should be a blue 15amp fuse but a white 25amp is in its place? Now could this be related as the colour of fuses are there for a reason and if i am right with fuses slot layout then these are incorrect? but would this be cause my boot to fail from working?

Sorry for long post, but hope it helps someone and hopefully someone can help me back.

If the pictures are not showing you can go to my flickr and see them both at https://www.flickr.com/photos/829851...h/34289038550/ i only have two pictures on there

Does anybody know if the fuse layout in the first page of this thread are the same for the 1.2FR because I think my layout is different, I'm trying to find the fuse for the cigarette lighter but pulled out the number as listed on the sheet and it still works with the fuse removed.

Hey pebble. I am not sure if.it is.but you.could do process.of elimination and pull out a fuse one by one and when it stops working that is your lighter.

Great.
Couldn't find windscreen washer pump ?
Had this blown before Xmas.
Luckily seat assistance fixed it for me.

Sorry to be late to this forum haha! Do you know which fuse is number 1 by looking into at them? And then which way they go? I presume the mini fuses probably go from 1 to 24 (or something like that) and then the large ones go from 24 to XX. I'm just not too sure where the little ones end and the big ones start, from the perspective of looking at it

Thanks :)

I think that you will find it all in this forum, just a case of searching for it. For the main area of fuses in front of the driver's seat -

Starting on the top LHS small fuses only to begin with:- 1 > 8, next row down 9 > 16, next row down 17 > 24.

Then at the end of these this block starting from the LHS end of the bigger fuses top row :- 25 > 42
bottom row 43 > 60. There will be fuse boxes else where as well.

Thanks for that, that's really useful! I ended up just pulling fuses out one by one until I found it, then had to check for any codes with my OBD scanner.

Thanks!

in the screenshots its states 40 is vacant. In my 2015 manual there no fuse information at all on numbers.

Looked on the seat website and its number is missing entirely. But i managed to blow it a few weeks bacl which stopped my 12v supply working. I have now replaced it and it works.

Closest i found was a polo fuse box that sort of matches up.

Any ideas why nothing matches my car?

All the stuff in this thread is aimed at Ibiza 6J only, if your 2015 Ibiza is the facelifted version then I would not expect much to tie up with what you have found in your car.

Mine is a 6J though. My car's fuse box has more in common with the 2010 manual than the 2015 manual online. Number 40 is listed on a 2010 manual as cigarette lighter fuse which would tie up with my 2015 car where as in the 2015 manual the number is missing all together.

I replaced 40 to fix the lighter issue i had and its working fine.

Number 39 has the abs pump according to the manual for my car online but on the the 2010 its vacant which it is in my car.

2010 fuse layout lists 58 fuse slots and the 2015 one only 55. Mine has 58 slots.

I may contact them direct as nothing adds up.

Hum, fuse info not being clear, well for the 6C Polo, only a handful of fuses are explained, for the rest "ask your VW dealer" - which is really handy if you find that a function has "gone" and you need to find its fuse quickly!

So, is your car a very late 6J preface lift, ie smaller MFD, or an early face lift with the bigger MFD as the "electrics package" changed dramatically with all the face lifted Polo/Ibiza/Fabia.

Edit:- her Polo also has a fuse in a "not assigned" location!
One thing, my daughter's late 2009 Ibiza has its fuse box "the right way up", whereas my wife's facelifted 6C Polo has its fuse box "up side down" - which seems a bit strange.

In my case the fuses in the car don't match with what it is in the manual...

There are empty fuses where it should have and the opossite, also some of them have different Amps from what is listed in the manual for that position, so I guess all the manual is wrong.

My car is from July 2008

I got a reply from Seat which basically said if the manual isnt right they cant and wont help. And to use a non official seat website which i would have to pay to use in order to find out the definitive layout to my car. God help me if another fuse blows.

SEAT is ridiculous, I contacted them to get information about when to change the cambelt, they said to contact the dealer...

That is bad enough but I still contacted 3 dealers and none of them answered...

I would expect that you would get an answer if you actually visited their service reception, if not I'd be amazed, I know that there is a bit of flexibility over this, ie "every XY Km or AB Miles" or "E Years" which ever happens first. I think that I've said already, if you don't want to pay big money for an engine repair change it every 40/50 Miles or 4/5 Years along with other associated parts which hopefully come with the "cam belt kit".
