So I replaced the thermostat last Saturday and everything was going great, temp going up to 90 and most importantly warm air in the cabin, but on Wednesday the engine started running cold again and only warms up while it's stationary, am I looking at a faulty thermostat or do I need to look elsewhere??
TIA
Ben

I’ve heard the Ecp thermostats are shite, if I was you I’d test to make sure that the thermostat is stuck open and then go to the dealers and get a genuine thermostat

I don’t know if you know but you can view actual engine temps when in the car through the climate control, assuming you have climate control that is!

I know that his would have helped me a fair bit when I was fixing my thermostat
I've checked it through diagnostic, runs at 58 Deg while driving and heats up when stationary ☺

These cars will turn you into master mechanics ahaha
Drove my 130pd from 80k to 215k over 10 years and only changed service items, this FR has had the bonnet open more in one week than the 130 in 10 years

OK, am in stupid mode. Which code is it - is it 06.1 to check coolant temp, as I want to check if my stat is working or not

do you mean through the climate control if so it is

press and hold recirculate button then 'up' key, then press '+' to number 51

then recirculate button again

should stay on 90C

Ok. Did the code today, and it's 90 degrees. And yet my dash gauge shows 1/4 temp. So maybe the sender isn't too clever. Changed it last year as dash wasn't showing any temp. But something's not right now

Ecp stat on left genuine stat on right as you can see the difference in spring is nearly twice as thick
