Has anybody on here successfully opened up the headlights on their Leon? I have some projectors and hids I want to fit. I did this before on my a3 and I just heated around the outside where the lens and casing meet and then pulled them apart, the sealant on them was like a soft rubber butyl strip and it's the same on my Mrs mini but on the Leon the stuff seems really tough and won't soften with heat. I bought a spare headlight to test on and tries the heat gun method but it wouldn't cone apart, I thought it might have previously been opened and resealed with tigerseal but the headlights on my car are exactly the same and I melted one trying to warm it up in the oven and the sealant still wouldn't soften enough for me to open it up. If any one could help with this it would be much appreciated as I have had all the projectors and hids ready to go for about 6 months and really sick of the standard dim light output.
