It's just more so the intake manifold I think from where there value cover leaked everyone so often. Just sits along there and can't get anything to clear it away as it just sits there! You know the feeling.

The manifold, try metal cleaner and a tooth brush.

You may need a new oil filler cap, but there’s a chance the increase in boost is forcing the oil passed the cap – which wouldn’t be a good sign.

If there's enough pressure in the Cam Cover to force oil through the cap (and possibly blow the gasket?) then I go back to my original advice of - Selling before it goes pop! :)

Compression and smoke test...first thing's to do if your going to keep it...if not stop working on it and sell it.

i wiped the oil cap clean! Then checked the oil on the dip all looking good! I then went out tonight for about a 20minute ride.. Waited for the temp to get up to 90 staying off the boost changing gear at 2000rpm untill I see the temp hit 90! Now I'm at a dual carriageway and give it some through 1st, 2nd, 3rd and ease up in 4th.. Same again for most of the ride and little blips here and there and this is the result.. Pics below btw I took some pics of the bits that need cleaning if anyone has any ideas.. But back on subject my oil cap!

You sure the dip stick is OK? Not cracked? Pushed down properly

Just the ring on the dipsitck that you pull it out with! But all was fine! The cap didn't leak! So far so good! Maybe a longer run is needed? But il take it for now! And for the maf how long will I know if it's dead? Or how long should I wait for it to work? I was just gonna get someone to edit it somehow so it works as soon as its plugged in... Would I be right in thinking if it's not working il get one of the same lights again? Also when I'm at the lights.. Slight smell of pertrol lol.. The exhaust spits out the back

Like I said in the pm, no mapper is going to map it out on a ko3/4 tune..my guess is its faulty..plug it in and test it out...smell of fuel could be the map, could be the maf being unplugged and over fueling. Engine light is probably De-cat but you will know as soon as you take it to get exhaust sorted if it has one or not. Scanner will help no end.

I'm not sure why there isn't a cupra club in either the le or nn postcode because I've seen many many cupra R's, bagged and all sorts to some cracking cupra R looking tdi's. to me everyday I'm in it is track day

Gonna plug in the maf tomorrow and then take to the garage and try to get some pics of the exhaust! It's not a normal exhaust so I was told so I wonder what's on it! The guy who done the gasket said it sounded like it's got a hole in it that's how loud it is

So I've been to the garage just now for the exhaust... Needs some rubbers and welding on the and got quite a nice leak under the car! But the garage guy said it's not leaking much it's not dropped anything since being on the ramp he said he will clean it off and have it for a day to do all the work was quoted £80 and then it's just the engine light and traction control.. So not too much atm.. Just wanna know where the oil leak is coming from.. Anyway I got some pics please do take a look

Looks to me like 3" downpipe to 2"/2.5" straight which will bring up the eml. Oil is hard to find a leak so can't say much there. That 900 pound is looking better and better, yes more work/cost but better than scrapping/breaking it.

Give it some good oil nice filters and get the code reader and enjoy it. Most cars of this age need work/money so its not all bad. Even it the box or engine pops there cheap enough to replace in 2018

Yeah I don't think it will go pop and I hope the leak isn't nothing serious.. Coz there is so much up higher the oil leak is hard to find atm but it's very little leak apparently they just need to find where it comes from.. They got the car all day Tuesday to fix all the bits that need it and find the leak so we can start looking at a fix for it! Not sure if its de-catted not couldn't see it
