Toledo ST?

Presumably a SEAT equivalent of the Skoda Rapid Spaceback is on its way.

There are some pics on Auto Express, but the forum won't let me post the link :(

Possibly badged ST, but that car is more of an A3-style three-light hatchback than an estate as such.

Now that's an awkward looking car

That's the one. I think some of the rear detailing - the shape of the window and lights and the gap between bodywork and bumper - is disguised.

The pics of the Rapid Spaceback have now been put up on the Skoda website. Because of forum rules I can't post the URL, but it's not hard to find.

I'm sure this will make a very appealing Toledo variant too, although possibly might tread on the toes of lower-spec Leons.

Mods, can this be moved to the general Toledo forum as it relates to the Mk4, not the Mk3?

I've seen several online articles saying there will be a Toledo version.

I'm liking the look of that spaceback... better than the prototype.

Shame the spec so far on the skoda is really poor

Maybe the tolly will be nicer

Comparing what you can configure on a Rapid and a Tolly3, the Skoda wins hands down for spec. For example, the SEAT SE has take-it-or-leave-it as the interior trim. The Skoda Elegance has choice of 4. And so it goes...

Agreed. Range is pretty screwed up on the Toledo as the E and S trims are far too basic and entry level 1.2 MPI underpowered. It's only the 105 TSI and TDI in SE spec that makes any sense, but unless you need the practicality you'd go for the more sophisticated and better looking Leon instead. Don't really see why they bother offering in the UK as its appeal is so limited. Rapid makes a bit more sense though and fits in well with Skodas range.

Wheel and colour configurator now online on Skoda.com for the Skoda Rapid Spaceback, but no sign of a SEAT equivalent.

Given that IMV the Spaceback is likely to comfortably outsell the original Rapid, might we see SEAT dropping the Toledo entirely from its lineup as it begins to encroach on Leon territory?
