No worried Georgie - that's why I gave you the Bod

That is quality must be the funniest thing i have read on this forum, and going back to arguing with Mork you wont win its not worth it trust me been there done it got banned. Plus there is no need to slate the people who work really hard in their spare time to keep this site running.

Sorry just thought i would post up my experience i will be quiet now

PMSL at this thread, its a good thing though, i seen no reason for multiple logins.

When login's can be used anywhere in the world!

I also like the name and shame culture!

No, but dragging a thread up from over a year ago, with no relevance, is...

Right, the number of multiple login's are now getting "out of hand"

I'll soon be updating the detector to just 'park' the accounts as soon as a multiple login is detected, until we're contacted to discuss the need for the multiple accounts.

:)

Well it's up & running

if it detects a multiple login YOU WILL BE BANNED automatically

Since I can find no good reason (with the exception of a couple of our Forum sponsors who's staff can't make their mind up) as to why you would need these additional logins it seems that the only reason would be malicious

So next time any SCN members 'sleep over' at another's just bear it in mind when you login in the morning before making that walk of shame

So just to be sure... logging from home and / or work is ok.. but if another account tried to log on from home then both accounts are automatically banned?

Also.. Who do I need to notify if there is a genuine second user from here.. I know he had an account at some point.. not sure if it ever gets used anymore or not tho....

sorry for the questions.

that's correct - this will not stop anyone logging on from multiple locations

what it will stop is people sharing the same computer (Note - this is not the same as sharing the same network)

This will prevent a few people who 'share' computers (but I can add usernames to ignore this) and it will prevent the 'hard core' users who get banned, and reregister (or trols)

I'm tempted with moving the notifications to a public area, but then it could be embarrassing for the married liaisons :)
