Hello there, really annoying day. Kerbed 2 of my wheels.

Also thought the MAF might be playing up so I unplugged it as a test and I'm getting check engine lamps on the dash.

It says on VAG COM that the MAF signal too low. Not sure if this requires a reset or if its the sensor.

I cannot reset at the moment as my copy of VAG COM is shareware :(.

Any ideas?

Leaving the battery unplugged all night wouldn't reset ECU fault codes or lights on the dash would it?

you can still clear codes on shareware versions????

plug the maf back in before disconnecting the battery, may return if it has failed though

I didn't think you could. Well I have managed to reset the codes now and make a few other tweaks such as idle speed etc. Much better.

I think the MAF is OK - I only drove 15mins or so with the light on so perhaps didn't give it time to go away.
