Hi Guys, hoping you can help me, again...
My PD150 turbo seems to be whistling between 1500 and 2000 rpm then just stops, only under 50% plus acceleration and sometimes with white or black smoke, sometimes none.
If I pull off a boost hose, the noise continues, if I remove the vac hose to the actuator it stops.
I've run a test on vagcom and have the below:
I'm hoping it's just the n75 or actuator at fault, there is no nociable loss of power, I have a celtic tuning stage one map and EGR delete. The turbo is just over 2 years old, brand new Garrett, done about 15k since fitting. Remapped I've done about 4k, nearly all motorway driving sat about "motorway" speeds.
I have noticed a small hole near the cat, could this be part of the problem?
Any ideas guys?
