I've just bought a gt28 from a mk5 gti. It's got a tial hot side with an external waste gate. It will be going on my leon cupra r next year with a bbt adapter plate .

Couple of questions.
1 is there any company's that make downpipes for these turbos. Or is it custom?
2 is there any way of finding out what size the hot side is?

a GT28 what tho? 2860/71 other?

I cant say on tfsi but a GT2871 on 0.64 type hotside, internal gated as an example would muster high 300's from 1.8bar boost on 1.8t.. External gated hotside should be more efficient.

We have squeazed 415bhp from a GTX2867 on a 1.8t when asked to push it hard by customer. 30psi of boost level tho.

measure the wheels only definitive way of knowing the size and trim and match it to the garrett sites wheel sizes

fraid not no. Its been hybridised judging by the welded outlet neck on it

Only way I know of is remove the housings and measure the inducer/exducer of the wheels
