Just a quickie, whats the difference between these two???

Reason i ask is as i have both in my hand and they look identical apart from the letter A on the end of the P/N!!

Thanks!!

Both perform the same function, controlling vacuum pressure to the actuators for EGR and wastegate or VNT. I think there are differences in the internal spring and damping - certainly there are people here who have substituted different types of N75 valve and noticed a performance difference.

Adam, i did loads of reading about these two over on TDI club when i had an issue. The only difference which they/I concluded what the colour of the cap. There was talk of the N75 having a faster response time (so linked to what muttley says) but many people including myself have swapped them around for troubleshooting reasons and found no difference in their performance (unless one is faulty of course).

Well I have had an n18 as boost control for a week, car wouldn't go over 90mph and kept going onto limp mode but I have just fitted another n75 and pulls much stronger! I have 2 snapped valves that I might take apart to compare the internals! I think there is definitly somthing different between the two!!
