Hi, I have a Pd150 leon , the turbo just blew the seal on me yesterday :( , on the search for a turbo, was wondering , my car has a full 2.5" exhaust system decatted etc, so basically it makes the Owl/Coo/Pigeon noise when i rev/change gear, if i change the turbo (have to) , will i Lose that noise? Thanks , will the make of the turbo make any difference as to whether ill get the noise or not

Potentially the sound may change with a new turbo fitted but if you're running a straight through exhaust from front to back id say the cooing is likely to stay put.

Ahh i hope it stays put, it coo's SO LOUD!... its either A Garrett turbo which is really expensive or a TurboJetzt Remanufactured Turbo ... will that make any difference of the chances of getting the noise? Cheers for the quick reply

In other words, will the make of the turbo make any difference to getting the noise?

The cheap one is more likely to make a bang sooner, yes.

By the way I honestly don't know how people drive around with their diesels cooing like a demented barn owl on a daily basis, it'd drive me ****ing insane!
