Mk 1, oil light problem!

Hi, since May on and off I've had my oil light come on randomly. It comes on amber and beeps, if I release the bonnet, it goes off instantly. Asked a few friends and they say its bonnet sensor. Went to a breakers, replaced that and still have the same problem. Bonnet release is definitely something to do with it as it goes off instantly every time. The only other thing that's started happening, recently I've noticed. If I throw the car pretty fast round a bend or roundabout, the oil light flashes red with three beeps then returns back to a constant amber. Any ideas? The car is long due a service which I'm sorting come pay day. Do have a top up bottle ready to go in my boot but every time I check the oil, she seems to be fine.

Hi hun, yeah oil level is good, always have a top up bottle in the boot ready. It's coming on way more frequent when I turn left pretty quick. A friend says faulty oil level sensor, could be, hoping its not a blockage in pick up pipe. Got her booked in for a decent service and fix up, hopefully sort the problem, don't want her going boom on me x
