Long story short. Sold my grey BTCC stage 2+ cupra a few years back.....biggest mistake of my life. I miss that car till this day and nearly bought it back from the new owner but he ummed and aaahhhhed a bit so i gave up.

I then bought a Skoda Octavia VRS after test driving one. I was pretty impressed and really liked it but it just lacked that ooompfff i was so used to. Great economy, great comfort and oodles space, can't really knock it in all fairness.

That was until 6 months ago...when i just couldn't wait any longer. PX'd her in on a 12 plate LCR in white....and how happy i was. Test drive proved to me the car was NOT stock but i have no evidence of remap. so here she is.....when i got her.

Any how! 6 months have since passed and i have gotten the itch to sort her out. These are the issues currently:

Clutch slipping
All 4 wheels buckled! (discovered this fun fact after getting a puncture and the tyre guy at work plugged it and tried to balance it. Checked all 4 and they are all buckled.
El cheapo crappiolo tyres that suck to hell in the wet!

Therefore i have purchased some new wheels :p
I have purchased some new rubber
I have purchased some upgraded clutch kit thingimajiggy!!!
I have also purchased coillies

All work to be done on Sunday :D

Good top see you finally have a thread up not that i can talk on that one being as ive never got round to making a rr thread for any of my cars.
Seems well strange for al four wheels to be buckled.

I know mate. I have a sneaking suspicion it may have been in a smash but no proof as former owner was VWFS  The wheels have been repainted and are peeling so that is my only clue. Everything else is fine though so what do i know....... I am still happy with the car and once done she will be the monster i want her to be [B)]

Very nearly bought a VRS a while ago.

For all four wheels to buckle from a smash wouldn't have left much car for you to buy.

If they've been refinished they could have been over baked which has effected the wheels?

Although bad luck for 4 wheels to buckle i can see it be feasible with the state of our roads - I think the fronts take more of a bettering than the rears and if the previous owner had swapped the fronts to back then it's possible for them all to get a bit battered in a fairly short period of time.

Nice Cupra btw!

Nice car Jase, to anybody reading, i am regrettably the guy that ummed and arrghed about selling it because its such a good car, and i knew it would be impossible to replace,

But the time has come to move her on, so she is now going up for sale,

Jase has a huge RR which is full of detail all about it,

So if anyones after a mint Leon Cupra BTCC Stage 2+, Pm me

Pretty sure JC will tell you all about it if your interested

You know you have a good car when the previous owner still keeps a picture of it as his Signature.

Don't forget, i will buy your R off you when you have it sorted lol. You know I'm good for it!!!
