On the weekend I was at a local One Mile Challenge. Top speed on 1 mile was 248kmh, screwed up one gear shift. lost about 7kmh at 1km mark. Speedo showed on first run 250kmh (measuread 235) and on second run 252kmh (measured 248)....

Injen ram air open intake installed. Efect is almoust like BOV, turbo spooling, whoosh...it makes me giggle like a 5 year old girl... :D The filter is quite huge, install took me about half an hour. Most difficult part was the access the OEM clamp bolt on turbo side.

OMC2017_stageII-me.jpg

One Mile Challenge 2017 Stage II, 3rd place in A class (up to 2.0T or up to 3.7L engines) with top speed of 259kmh.

Installed Oettinger custom clutch rated at 600Nm to handle the 515Nm my engine generates now.

Removed passenger seat, back seats, bass speaker, spare wheel, taped front bonnet, 1/4tank of fuel.

Haven't posted anything for a while. At some time ago got new summer tyres, GoodYear Eagle Asymetric 3 (245/35/19), very nice quiet ones, good grip. Also interior floor got extra layer sound deadening. 5-6hrs work, removed all the seats etc...but overall it come out nice :)

Now winter has come, I got Continental IceContact 2 studded tyres...nice, finally real winter tyres for winter conditions. Unfortunately tracksion on dry/wet road without ice/snow is not so good, Can't get the power down. From 90kmh on overtaking I see traction control flashing even on 6th gear...this is the problem with 283kw/515Nm :D

Few weeks ago the compartments padding kit arrived from Turkey ([email protected]). A friend found them on the Instagram. Padding kit costs 40€ (shipping included), frond and rear doors (thicker material), glove compartment, arm rest pockets, some small things in cup holders and small compartment under the left side light switch. The material is something like velvet, with adhesive. Stick it wrong, then can remove it and replace the same part. Precut pieces with some visual manuals + instructional videos on the net. Some pictures:

Yesterday replaced reverse light with LED...I really do not know what was I expecting. The original is 21W pulb, replaced by under 2W LED. Light amount is about the same, if not less. Color temperature is whiter, colder, suits better. No canbus error. For color change they are okay, for extra lighting they are useless: https://www.ebay.com/itm/P21W-382-B...var=591055800017&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

Probably should try something like that: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Canbus-Err...ash=item25d2d9c426:g:e84AAOSwXYtY2gDG&vxp=mtr

Also thought that maybe remove the other side "rear mist light" orange glass inside and add 2 more powerful LED-s on both side, parallel them and use dual reverse light loosing the "rear mist light" that seems so useless compared to the LED rear led strips in original.

Since we really have here in Estonia dark wintertime then I decided to add some extra reverse lights. Firstly bought the suggested LED light to replace original reverse pulb as previos post. Since it did nothing to help I bought another set of LEDbars. Quite cheap, about 30€ for 2pcs inc. shipping. they seems quite nice. Advertised as 18W, actually about 12W per unit. Here are some pics + light comparison pictures LED in original place VS those LEDbars. They are not fitted yet.

New nice feature installed - reversing camera washing nozzle. Works in parallel with rear washing system, probably will add rear wiper disable function while reverse light on (1 relay or so).

Cheapest mod I have done so far. Few meters of hose, 1 spray nozzle, 1 3-way plastic divider to take the liquid from the original rear window washer. Few zipties, 2 holes later.. in total some 10-15€.

Nozzle is bolted to the licence plate holder

There were some small angle problems, the nozzle missed the cam about 1-2cm, had to "heat treat" the licence plate plastic.

Another nice mod installed. Now it has been working for few weeks. Works even with leather gloves. Sealing lights mod, used 2 touch sensitive dimmable modules. Now I just have to touch the lamps and the will dim on/dim off. Original functionality is still there (push putton on/off). Nice thing to have. Bentley Mulsanne have similar touch-sensitive sealing lights. Moneywize it costs about 10€ (2x light dim modules, 2x small so8 FET-s, 2 diodes) + quite a bit of engineering to get it working :D

Haven't posted anything a while, it does not mean I have not done anything. Center console is now covered with leather, center console cup holdes has been replaced, added built in dual USB charging socket. Had to fabricate some glass-fiber molds-part to it the new holder (3times over for now already :D). This part needs to have some modifications to be done.

Also have playing with Canny 7 module, learning car CAN bus system. Ordered 360degrees parking camera kit, cameras needs to be installed, but main problem is currently how to tell the MIB II (over canbus) to go into the reverse camera mode on my command to use the camera system driving forward.

One nice backfire sound clip at the parking house: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AfJlUX4wqs

Last week the car got covered wit ceramic paint protector. It looks quite shiney and reflective. Should have done also the polishing, but..yeah... some pics here.

Since some car events are coming I bought myself a "Stig helmet". White, with tinted visor. Seems quite decent, nice thing to have.

Next upgrades in car will be dashcam install, front mounted Aukey D2, totally built in into the reverse mirror cover housings, so quite hidden, can not be removed easily etc. Some pics when installed.

Also thinking of lowering springs, maybe not, I do not have any decent cleareance, probably will hit wheel arches...

Another moneyhole would be new upgraded intercooler. The price is not so friendly..about 750-800€, but on stage 1 car it has made difference even about 40hp...

Well to calrfy the car already had open air intake instead of stock (tuners said, that this more likely will loose some hp due to the heat) and resonator removed and more free flowing sports mufflers on the rear.
The remap was done on the rolling road exactly for my car, it was no "prepared" map for Cupras, this may be different + original clutch was unable to handle the torque, it is probably limited on prepared maps for cupras.

New Airtec intercooler arrived. Let's hope to get it installed soon :p
This will possibly break the 300kW/400hp barrier.
