Hi all, thought I'd say hi and introduce myself. Names James and have owned my black 2005 cupra r for about 3months now. Was lucky enough to find an absolute minter with only one previous owner and a staggering 28k miles on it!.....not bad for a 12 year old car. Has full service history including fluid changes annually regardless of mileage.....cambelt done 2years ago. The only thing letting her down was the swirling on the paint but as a keen detailer have thourougly removed imperfections and now looks flawless. Car was completely stock but have recently fitted a badger5 v3 tip.....bmc filter and heat shield, forge 008 dv, new n75 valve (think original was bit sticky). Car drives superb but do feel some hesitation as boost comes on....maybe have a slight leak somewhere, thinking about n249 delete?....im planning to get a stage 1 map by badger5 carried out in the very near future too. Have loads of pics to share bit can't work out how to post them??? Lol

yeah feels very tight and fresh....wasnt looking for one but when I saw it I just went for it lol....have got a niggling issue with a little inconsistency at about 2.5k revs where sometimes the boost comes in hard and sharp as ud expect but other times a little hesitant....changed dv and n75 so guessing may have small leak somewhere.....may get the guy at b5 to have a look as I'm planning to get him to map it.....100 mile drive though so want it to be as good as I can get it ready for mapping as to not waste a trip

You'll enjoy driving far too much the only down side, going slow is difficult. I have just found out after 20 mins of being followed by the cops. They stuck like glue & with 20mph everywhere, my car & I were seriously struggling. It doesn't crawl, only accelerates!

I must look dodgy, because this happens a lot.Yeah they really are a do it all car.....had 3 mr2turbos in the past.....last one fully forged running 343hp....monstrously fast but needed more seats lol.....i love the cupras smoothness and overall feel.....definitely want it mapped though.....think 260-270hp will be perfect for the platform
