Nice one cheers. I was ready to order H&R springs from EBay Germany but may look into these now.

I've been trying to sort out my next service and decide whether I should take it to the dealer I bought it from or one of two local independent garages.

Can someone confirm for me who makes OE Seat cambelt and water pumps? (Valeo, Gates, Dayco, TRW etc)

Just get a kit from TPS

But then I'd still need to get someone to fit it. If the dealers can price match an independent garage and give me the two years warranty on the pump and 5 years on the belt then its a "no brainer"

Is the TPS kit genuine Seat and if so who makes it?

Replaced the front passenger seatbelt with a brand new one supplied by Dave at Sere. The old one had a suspicious cut in the webbing that I didn't think would be safe if I ever had an accident. It would also probably fail an MOT. Anyway new one fitted and everything back together as it should be.

For information, if anyone decides to do this a word of advice is to pry off the plastic strip that runs along the bottom of the door surround first (kick strip?). Start at the front (nearest the glove box), then work your way towards the back prying upwards. Once you're past the B-Pillar you can then start working your way upwards removing the pillar trim pieces. There are screws holding the sections of the pillar trim on that are very well hidden, so use a torch. I tried starting at the very top and nearly snapped the upper section in half, before noticing 2 screws at the bottom of the upper section, hidden behind the top of the lower section. I then realised I was going about it all wrong and started from the bottom instead. Once I'd started at the bottom and worked my way up, it came off nice and easily. Go figure!

You live and learn. ;)

Did you torque the bolts up or just horse them up? I always torque seat belt anchor bolts up as been told horrible stories about them over tight and shear off in a crash. Don't know if that was just people trying to get me to torque things correctly. Just a thought.

Yep, all 3 anchor bolts are torqued to 40nm, as per spec. Wouldn't risk 'horsing them up' as over tightening can be just as bad as under tightening in my opinion.

Throwing more money at the car.... Alignment was out and the rear bolts seized, so the arms need replacing. On top of that, the rears are badly worn so they need replacing.

Apparently Michelin Pilot Supersports are on backorder now so my options are Goodyear Eagle F1 3 or Michelin Pilot Sport 4, both launched recently. From what I gather the PS4 is going to be a lot closer to the PSS than the PS3 was, so I will have to see what they are like on Wednesday.

Went down to BCS today to get my Powervalve system fit. Got to say how the guys at BCS are the so helpful, friendly and provide a top quality service. The products they sell are unreal and sound amazing. Here is a couple of pics, more will be posted on my reader ride thread and a short drive by video.

Running costs and maintenance costs of the Leon are night and day compared to the Evo. Both cars have their good points.

Well it looks like my lowering kit got the better of my worn outer cvs new ones coming tomorrow.

Keep getting exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 and o2 sensor 2 pinging eml light on now. I'm planning fitting my milltek and mapping very very soon. Do I need these sensors to be working to map or are they going to be obsolete once dpf and egr are mapped out?
