Sounds like a lambda sensor to me, try unplugging your oxygen sensor and take it for a drive. Dodgy sensor would cause light throttle missfire's and rich running, although one of the other engine sensors could cause similar issues, CTS, MAP sensor. Theres plenty of info via Google about how to test Lambda Sensors. Euro's sell replacement bosch ones for around £100 if it turns out to be fooked.
