So my long overdue cambelt / waterpump is being replaced next week. With past cars part of the change was oil / filter. Is this needed when the garage carry out the work?

The only reason i’m asking here and not them is they are closed until Monday and ecp have 35% off where i could purchase some Castrol and carry out the change next weekend if it’s not part of a general belt change.

Thanks

I think it’s usually just done as you get it done as part of a normal service, but you get major components done at the same time.

I’m getting mine done next week and also the fuel/oil filter and oil is getting changed, however if it’s been done recently then I wouldn’t bother, although for what 60 quid ur maybe as well getting it done. Depends how long ago it was done.
