Looking at Ibiza MK4's :)

Evening all, basically not got one yet but ive been looking at them for my next car at around xmas time when i sell my current car (Honda Civic) and get my bonus from work ive done a few insurance quotes between the FR & Cupra and the difference is around £120 just wondering whether its an £120 worth paying or not, also if theres anything to look out for when buying one

For £120 get the cupra. Better than the FR.

Cool, is it just the 30 extra bhp or is there any other bonuses?

Quite a few benefits of the cupra over the FR. Do a wee search and it should bring up all the info you ever need

The Cupra comes with an fmic standard, better bushes and nicer body kit IMO, will easily get 200 from a stage 1 and decat

Ah sweet, 1st thing id look to do is get some coilovers, spacers few braces get the handling to match the speed to start with, get it mapped by my local tuners and exhaust decat should be about enough to start with

I had my old Cupra tdi with a turbo back milltek, egr delete, stage 1, open cone, coilovers, rear arb and front strut brace, was great fun to drive and out torqued a lot of faster cars which was always a good giggle at traffic lights

Would definitely recommend a good set of shock & springs over coilovers though purely based on the ride comfort in these cars! Also forking out for a good set of tyres is essential!

Never had it proven but generally those mods take it to 200, any more gains i wanted I would have been looking at hybrid or big turbo, usually hybrid makes 230-240 and BT can get you to the magic 300 but that's some serious cash injection needed!

Cupra interior is nicer too - black headlining vs beige in the lesser models, also red stitching in various locations.
