Every now and then on my way to work the coil light symbol on the dash starts to flash.
Not a lot I can do so I park up as normal, go to work, when I return to the car the light no longer flashes.
At worst this happens about 3wks or so apart and normally following bad rain fall, I put it down to water ingress.
It happened today, same routine, except no rain (car is garaged).
I've finally taken the plunge and booked it in with Seat as my extended warranty is up in May. Typically they can't see it for a week but say the code should still be present.
Will it be? Has anyone had a similar problem?
Techy bloke I spoke to said they'll scan the car and if the code isn't present they "extensively test drive it until the error reappears". Now I can't replicate it and I'm not an easy driver so I don't think they will be able to make it reappear.
I'm going to scan with my Chinese VCDS, this won't clear the code (if present) will it?
