I've got a 2006 seat Leon 1.9tdi and when I start it up it comes up with the word 'error' on the trip computer and it covers over the mileage display? It doesn't always come up on start up sometimes it comes up when your driving and it's just covering the mileage display with the word 'error'. Does anyone know what this is or can anyone help me? Thankyou

It would probably be worth getting a diagnostic scan done on the car to see if there are any fault codes but this issue could well be caused by a faulty cluster or corrupt software in the cluster. The latter would require a trip to a dealer to have the cluster re-flashed with the latest software.

Hello mate, I have had it plugged in and it says there's an instrument fault but can't wipe it, does this mean it may need resoftwaring etc by a main dealer?
