Hi Guys, complete newbie here

Bought my K1 recently however I have only just noticed the drivers side rear door wont open from the outside, unless you open it from the inside first, close it, then it can be opened from outside.

I have tried playing around with the childlock but it is still not working...

Any ideas??

Thanks

I had the same with the drivers door. I had to replace it myself, got a 2nd hand part off ebay for 50 quid. It took me a couple of hours to do it, as I'd never done it before. There are great guides on youtube, and on here about it. You dont have to take the window out, luckily. The only thing is you need specialised sockets to remove the bolts holding the door lock in place, I got a set from halfords.

My rear drivers side door lock is going now, can only open it from the outside :(

Edit:
Just saw this vid on youtube, talking about the grease in the lock drying out, so they have a simple fix. worth a try?

Before you buy a new locking module.

Take the old one out, unscrew the grey cover so you can see the locking mechanism, spray with wd40 and wash all the old grease out and re grease.

Did this with mine and has been working fine since think the old grease drys out.

Not long at all, you can do it without talking the door card off, but you do need to take the cloth part off. If you know how to take the door card off then it's easy.

I have seen some videos on youtube which look handy. I suppose its a matter of popping out the door clips and the door card would come off...

Least I know what im doing this weekend!

Cheers
