Recently had my 60 plate Leon in white, don't like the yellow original bulbs which are in now, I fancy changing them to get a xenon/HID look but don't know which bulbs are best in terms of white/blue light and the lifetime of the bulbs??

Could anyone chuck me some suggestions?

Thanks

With going full HID most people for a bulb only will go to Osram Nightbreaker plus. Have a much better distance on them and appear quite a bit whiter than standard, but cannot compare to real HID. I have the Nightbreakers and like them.

I've just fitted:
Philips Blue vision ultra side lights

Osram Nightbreaker unlimited low beam

Philips Xtreme Vision +130% full beams.

Coming from our old A6 that had Bi-Xenons, it's a fair change. But quite impressive.

I'd love to show you a picture, but apparently I can't post a photo for 15 posts.

Here is a photo of my nightbreakers. Sorry it took a while.

Not sure my phone camera does it 100% justice

I was always pretty impressed with the Nightbreaker Plus bulbs. Has anyone used these and the newer Nightbreaker Unlimited bulbs? Be keen to see if there's a noticeable performance difference as I'll be needing a set soon.

I too am sporting a set a nightbreakers in both my Cupra and Corsa GSi and am very impressed with them. More so in the Corsa actually. Only I opted for "ultimate I"I 501 sidelights from ultra led.co.uk which unfortunately gives a fault in the Cupra. Anyone know if I can override this? Or is it a case of swapping to the blue visions?

Cheers Mark

Thats a great couple of shots.
Mine seem to be white like that, but I find the actual output onto the road a bit disappointing. Not sure what bulbs they are.

If your after abit better bulbs what about Bosch Pure Light. They are highly rated by Which mag. Not maybe so white but I count being able to see over a white output by a bulb. If you want a 5k white output get some mtecs. But you wont be able to see anything as light output is terrible.
