This is the link for my remap.

http://celtictuning-kentauthorisedd...12/petrol/2-0-tfsi-208-bhp-2005-2012/stage-1/

I think sometimes there is confusion between the 208bhp engine being a TFSI or a TSI.

Chris.

Yea I've seen a few places with the wrong info, Revo is also wrong but in a different way, It says TSI but 200ps.

I remember reading somewhere this updated engine which is from 2010ish i think in the VW/Seat/Skoda is called TSI but the same engine in the Audis are still called TFSI, just to make it confusing.

It's a bit confusing but luckily all I know is we have one of the most tuneable engines from standard supposedly.

Have you had much work done to yours?

I've not had a remap, just an exhaust and replacement panel filter.

My upshift paddle is causing me issues though, sometimes it downshifts when you press the upshift paddle and a full diagnostic flagged no gearbox or switch faults!

You thought about a remap? It really does change the car into a beast.

Iv got the manual 6 speed so don't have any issue with paddles. Have Seat suggested replacing it to fix the problem?

Maybe in the future if I still have the car, within the next 2 months I need 4 new tyres, brake fluid doing, MOT and service so thats all over what a remap would cost me :(.

It is a VAG specialist I go to and who did the diagnostics, I guess next step is to replace that paddle and see if its just the switch thats dodgy.

They said its just a bit of a money pit really though because nothing flags on the diagnostic they don't know what is causing it, Its intermittent and I didn't manage to replicate it on a road test with them with it plugged in either.

Ouch! Iv just had 2 new tyres, a remap, full service and MOT and my alloys refurbished so I know what you mean about budgeting. Could have done without the clutch slipping but ho hum!

What area do you live in? Not sure what tyres you were looking at but I put some GT Radial Sport Active on the front to test and iv noticed they perform just as good as the P Zero's I had on before but at a fraction of the cost!

I'm in the North West, looking around the tyre places local to me I've seen Yoko Advan Sports for about £81.99 a tyre, I'll probably go for them.

I have 2 Kumhos up front which online are pretty highly rated but they are terrible.

Just a quick update.

I have spoken to the tuning garage today that dyno'ed my car and as expected they did not change anything at all within the ECU. The figure they were altering was how long the dyno program would run for so as to get the smoothest line possible.

So the outcome is that taking the car to its limits on the dyno has obviously finished off an already worn clutch so I now have to drive the car more steadily through the power until I get round to fitting an uprated clutch.

Any suggestion or advice on where to purchase a new clutch and probably a new DMF too?

Cheers.

Chris.

That's not a bad price for a well know tyre. I paid £60 fitted for each front tyre and they've been brilliant for 2000 miles. Hardly any wear and iv been driving the car hard over the last few weeks since the remap. Highly recommended!

So after sending enquiries to quite a few performance garages I am getting a lot of responses saying that as my clutch has only just started slipping, and the car has only covered 26k miles there is a good chance that I will not need to change the flywheel unless on inspection it seems really worn or lots of heat spots (I'll cross that bridge when I get to it).

After receiving numerous quotes I have narrowed it down to the 2 most mentioned options.

Sachs Performance Clutch Kit, Sachs Cover Plate, Luk Slave Cylinder - £580

Helix Performance Clutch Kit, Helix Cover Plate, Helix Slave Cylinder - £515

I notice that a lot of the clutch threads on this forum recommend the Sachs clutch but the figures I have received suggest that the Helix clutch can handle more power/torque. For the difference in price of only £65 is there really that much superiority of the Sachs over the Helix or is personal preference?

Does anyone on here run with either one of the kits and can give me an honest opinion?

Thanks in advance.

Chris.
