Clutch?

I have recently noticed that my Cupra is making what I can only describe as an aggressive fluttering noise when putting the foot down and it continues until I take my foot off the gas. Originally I suspected a boost leak but it doesn't seem to be loosing any power and now I'm concerned it might be the clutch? How would I tell for sure? Revo stage 1, Revo Cali and DV+

That's compressor surge, its normal on these K04 turbo'd engines. Its not so bad on the K03 platform. If you have an aftermarket air intake you can generally hear it a lot louder. Nothing to be concerned about at all

Pretty sure it's not compressor surge as it's only recently stated to do it.

Without a video clip, its impossible to say. Fluttering noise when accelerating is compressor surge like whats already been said. If its some kind of different noise other than that then put a video up

Yeh, will have to get a recording when I get a chance. Working out how to link it to here will be the difficult part

I don't get compressor surge in 1st, 2nd or 3rd. But if I boot it in 4th (coming from a diesel I'm used to changing down tho) it sounds like Monkey trying to summon a cloud (if anyone remembers that). But I always get it in 4th right through the rev range.

Funnily enough it was 4th I first noticed it. Maybe it is just compressor surge after all. Will get a video up just to clarify

My logical thinking was... if you had an issue or developed an issue (eg you suggested it might be the clutch). You would hear it in all gears. Oh... and its worse from low revs in 4th.

The fluttering described as "compressor surge" is usually most noticeable in higher gears around 3000-5000 rpm, i.e. max boost

Upload to YouTube and post a link is the easiest way I've found.

Yup. Mine did exactly that today accelerating in 4th gear. I usually try n avoid it by changing down a gear. But sometimes Im just lazy.
