This comes up every now and then, here is the procedure to amend using VAG-COM.

To disable Auto Locks...

Turn on ignition, start up VAG-COM...

Go to "Select control module" from the main menu.
Select "46 - Central conv."
Click on "Adaption - 10"
Press "Up" next to channel number and watch for "Auto Lock" at the top.
When found Auto Lock, set "New Value" to '0' from '1' click "Test" then "Save"
Press "Up" next to channel number and watch for "Auto Unlock" at the top.
When found Auto Unlock, set "New Value" to '0' from '1' click "Test" then "Save"
Then click "Done, Go Back"

Remove key from ignition then the next time you start up those annoying locks won't bother you.

To disable Selective Unlocking...

Turn on ignition, start up VAG-COM...

Go to "Select control module" from the main menu.
Select "46 - Central conv."
Click on "Recode - 07"
The number in at present will be a even number, add one to that number to make it an odd number then click "Do It".
Remove keys from ignition and lock the car - the next time you go to unlock pressing the unlock button will unlock everything.

Selective locking is where the first click is drivers door, second click for other doors and boot.

I don`t mind the selective unlock or lock when you pull away. It`s the point when you stop the car and get out, go to the boot and its locked still [:@]
On my Leon as soon as you remove the ignition ALL the doors unlock :D

HI, if you want to buy the Vag com you have different options. You can buy it in Ross-tech.com,
you can buy it in ebay with the drivers, but not with the software (you will have to "buy" it on the Internet,, the crack version).
In my opinion, is better in ross-tech.com (the original). If you are going to use a laptop with Vista you may have some problems ( between the version and the operative sytem) because with Win Xp is OK but with Vista...
I have a laptop with Vista and the version of the vag com is 311.2,and is perfectly working so If I can help you, let me know.

Hi Chaps,
I have a 2003 cordoba se tdi130pd (with performance torque - brilliant but eats clutches!) I am desperate to disable auto locking as it's driving me crackers (for 4 years!) and i didn't know it could disabled. Any how I'm in Chesterfield area, anyone out there with vagcom who could help would earn my eternal gratitude (body and soul if required). also got a permanent airbag light that needs sorting.

Cheers Dave e
