Bought a few little things this morning, got a CD player coming as I've decided I'm sick of the tape player and want to plug my iPad in, the double din possibly next time I'm out here. Got the exhaust gaskets I'll need to fit the blueflame, an 02 spacer from awesome, some leather paint for the steering wheel and some number plate LEDs.
Just got to get the turbo gasket from SEAT when I'm back, then get the zorst on! Cannot wait to hear it now.

Well I'm home and my bedroom actually looked like the post office sorting room!
HEre are some after they'd been opened.

Cracked straight on yesterday fitting the heatshield and the pipercross filter.

The 007p is really loud now but I can't feel a difference in the spool or anything. Just need a badger5 tip now.
After I did this I went to fit the 2.0t coil packs, had to remove the n249 to do this so I did the delete. This is what it looked like.
8509f782b12a418b655be9c1cb78860e_zps09185751.jpg

This is what it ended up like. The n249 is still connected here, but it's now gone with some 4mm black vac line from the dv to the inlet, and the n249 cable tied to the bulkhead still electrically connected to stop a code.

The car idles SO much smoother now, and the n249 delete seems to stop the dv diverting at really low revs an just a big whoosh at higher revs.
This also arrived! I'll be fitting it next week.

That big green thing in the pic above is a dehumidifier, got back and saw a cable coming from my boot. Turns out, where I'd been lazy and only re sealed the front doors, water had pooled in the back! So that's today's job along with the glow shift boost gauge nomad pillar pod, arm rest and possibly the liquid gauge. This along with the zorst is the best bit though, thanks a lot Gareth (G2) for this!

When I'm fiddling later I'll get pictures of the j caps dip stick, power steering fluid cap and the tb cover from awesome.

Oh yes! I drive tdi hilux's when I'm away and they're unbelievably slow! On a little sidetrack , I went in my old tdi tonight and that thing has so much torque I forgot, but I'm a changed man now I prefer the 225.

I've got the liquid gauge fitted, and I love it! Got the boost gauge in too but it doesn't like being wired up the same way as an autogauge one, so I think I'm just going to buy an autogauge one. Arm rest is 50% in too, just ran out of light. More tomorrow lol.

are you wanting any the bits you asked me for josh?

nice update!

As it stands I do mate yeah, going to be a squeeze picking it up though as I'm back to Cornwall tonight, should be back home on Friday. Dropping the subframe to do the zorst so I'll have a good look around and see what needs replacing under there, already expecting all the bushes, drop links and ball joints but if anything changes I'll let you know on Facebook. Even if I don't need the front struts, I'll still take them as I'm only going to lower on springs so it will make it quicker. The little cover that goes infront of the inlet, got one of those spare?

Blueflame 3" turbo back, decat resonated system fitted.

Horrible job removing the standard dp without dropping the subframe. 3" dp fitted.

Decat and 42dd 02 spacer.

Centre resonated section.

The back box isn't perfect, but I'll have a play with it in the new year when some bushes get renewed.

All in all the fit is pretty good. I've used new gaskets and holts exhaust putty on the sleeve with a 3" clamp. I've got the two rear mount bushes new to fit in the shed, and the middle one needs doing as it was snapped when I removed the old system. I had a few problems though, did this whilst I was at it and didn't tighten it up properly and it worked loose, so it was back in the air last night to find the knocking. I used lock tite this time, just a tad.

Re sealing the rears. I used kitchen silicone as our kitchen had just been done lol.

Turns out it's the front door that caused the leak, the butyl tape hasn't worked so I'll re re-do those tomorrow probably.

Had a few little niggles too, my rad is leaking steam from behind the fans. I bought some k seal and whacked that in today, it's worked as well. Going to flush the system and refill with vag coolant next year. The steam that was coming out was causing condensation on the o/s indicator plug, so I took that apart, and used dielectric grease on it for last night. Turned out to be a faulty bulb though.

The temperature suddenly dropped the other day, so I scanned the car and it was the coolant temp sensor, so a quick trip out and I came back with a green top cts.

Topped up the power steering fluid too today, and did some drilling last weekend! Remember the sheared headlight bolts on page one? The hole.

This is me re tapping them.

Voila!

Few randoms :)

Plans now are to get a few reviews on double din consoles and get that done in the new year, then lay off a bit and enjoy! The noise from the front and the back is immense now! Hope you lot enjoy this update as it's quite a big one!

Good progress mate and top work with getting the exhaust and especially that spacer - I have the same one and have never had the emissions fault come back since :)

Enjoy!

You should be able to straighten up the exhaust by putting a jubilee clip around the bush and tightening it

Cheers boys! I'm trying to do everything properly on this one, instead of little shortcuts, that's why I got the spacer. I'm going to try the new bushes and a little twist of the back box before I use a jubilee clip, in the hope it'll be a slightly stiffer bush. If not I've got loads lying around.

Got some more led's on the way and a new rocker cover to be sprayed wrinkle black along with the charge pipe, then the inlet and tb when I get my hands on another. Pretty sure I can realign the tb on my liquid gauge too :)

You can do a throttle body reset on the LG josh

And you can have a spare inlet and charge pipe when you collect them ;)

How much for an inlet then Mike? Collected obviously, need the little bit of trim that sits by the dip stick and the trim closest to the wing, the headlight cover, there are 2 of them on leons....
