20VT Toledo now wrapped GREEN

Pretty happy to see this! Was my car previously,I bought it from a lady who paid 2k for it owned it for 12 months then went onto me. I put the exhaust wheels dv and suspension on the coilovers we're horrid had a jabbasport cone and heat shield when I owned it though,glad to see it's been used and loved it was a great car to own and fairly low miles but for what it's worth it couldn't of come from a better seller lovely lady,I then put the mentioned mods on and sold it about a month later for a leon fr tdi,I'm actually picking up another 1.8t in black this week hence having a look on this site again as it's been a while.good work mate

you will struggle to go 4wd, it's a massive job because you will have to cut out the rear floor pan and replace it with one from a 4motion golf or A3/S3 quattro.

It had 79k on it I think when I got it ,

I had to take the cone off because I couldn't stand dath vader In the dash board personally ,

I love it , it's such a quick motor for what it is now after AMD mapped it ,

I took the JOMS off they where dead when I got it so bouncy no damping left and put pro sport on but their rubbish too nothing but build quality problems so I got another set of joms in the garage to fit least they don't fall apart

I'm fitting power fold mirrors soon
Boot lip spoiler
Auto lights
Double din

And would like to go AWD and ko4 on air one day

I'm based in Milton Keynes mate the guys you bought it from in Bicester are two traders that have had loads of my modded cars from me, I took all the badges off the rear an absolutely loved the looks so many compliments saying it didn't look nice but once the wheels and suspension was on it transformed it! Just need a little imagination I guess? I'm picking up another black 1.8t sport this Saturday I have been looking for another in the same spec for ages had a few leon golf and bora 1.8ts but fancied the Toledo again for the rareness Leon's are done to death around my way,I also sealed the doors on your one so they shouldn't leak again,

My rear drivers side door leaked so much when I got it , but I had to put a new door lock unit in it so sealed it up when I did that

Also had some rust bubbling through on the sill off that door from the trapped water I guess ? So sorted that too .

Also have you ever noticed all of the wheels are slightly different none of them match up ?

Most annoying thing is the bloody dash board squeaks on cold mornings need to look at that

Yeah your right mate I bought the bbs on eBay minus tyres seller laid them out on the grass when I collected all looked fine,more fool me I guess, I actually bought the jabbasport heat shield for £50 all in and when I went to collect the guy offered to sell me the apr dv for £5! Yes £5! One quick search revealed how good the apr dv was and coming in around £100-150 new Lol so that's the story of them.full miltec was from a stage 2 bora second hand sports cat non res I found it quite a drone,full exhaust cost me £250 with sports cat which I was not complaining about due to price of spot cat alone and the prize buy was the car it's self,women had it on eBay no pictures shocking description I went to view and asked what shewould take and she said £500!!! Even had half a tank of fuel, took it for one test drive and couldn't believe what a bargain I was getting! All in the car owed me around £1200 but that's why it was such a great car would have it back in a heart beat "seats" are underrated can pick up cupra r or £2000-2500 now and there's so much car for your money I have a good few photos of it but need a minimum amount of posts to put up photo bucket piks

The torpedo as we call it get all the love and attention it needs , I also had a dent removal company do EVERY panel ,

Today I fitted my dogbone mount tool about 5mins easiest mod yet .

Yeah sorry didn't mean to put a downer on your thread,just thought it would be nice to shed some light on the history, I'm picking my new one up Saturday if it's worth modding maybe I'll see you at a future meet, really glad to see it on here though it really is a good car I was amazed how smooth the gearbox was aswell

Sorry for the late reply no build thread so far forge fmic coilovers forge quick shift uprated dv panel filter etc won't let me start a thread for some reason but it's nothing special yet lol

Also did you mention the car surging a lot under light throttle? I'm getting that right now and don't know where to start with why?

No more surging at all? What do you think it was then vac?
