You can make online changes to the HERE maps as used in the car's unit like Openstreet and Google Maps.

Just up the road from me it navigates me to a closed road that was last open about 20 years ago. I've fixed it, done my bit for society. Now the gated track is a foot path. I've changed the property of the offending segments. Stretched one part of the road to the first gate. It's gone live... now just need MAP-CARE and the next download etc.
