There is a lack of Ateca documentation on the use of the Ateca's heated windscreen. The SSP 163 available from here shows the menu item via the A.C. setup button. The coil icon. Page 55.

You don't press it. That's manual override.
The function is fully automatic controlled by the ambient temperature.
From examination of the settings via OBD, when triggered it runs for 4 minutes, the stop temperature is 35'c. Not sure how it senses that one.
The main takeaway is dont fumble with the ac setup, you dont need to, but put the blowers on plus back windscreen and the front looks after itself.
